The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Belfield, ND, champions a transformative approach to food education by training and empowering individuals to advocate for a just and sustainable food system. This unique program offers hands-on learning experiences where selected Fellows immerse themselves in organic farming practices and community engagement. Participants gain valuable skills in crop diversification, food distribution, and innovative health education through community partnerships. Our mission emphasizes accessibility and inclusivity, as we do not charge tuition, ensuring that all dedicated individuals have the opportunity to join us. Throughout the Fellowship, which blends six months of experiential learning at our farm with a subsequent Community Action Year, Fellows will cultivate practical knowledge and contribute to local food initiatives, including farmers markets and school gardens. Applications for this impactful experience are welcomed until March each year, with activities beginning in May and running through October.
