Located in Bismarck, ND, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers aspiring leaders to advocate for an equitable food system through immersive education and hands-on experience. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this transformative program offers Fellows the opportunity to engage deeply with organic food systems while fostering a socially, environmentally, and economically just food landscape. During a dedicated six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain practical skills in growing and distributing diversified crops, managing community gardens, and implementing innovative health education initiatives. Furthermore, Fellows support local food access by mentoring future generations and collaborating with regional non-profits to enhance food coalition efforts and develop direct-to-consumer programs. The Fellowship is committed to accessibility, with no tuition fees required, ensuring that passionate individuals can fully embrace this unique opportunity. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience taking place from May to October each year.
