The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bowman, ND, empowers passionate individuals through a transformative journey in food system advocacy and education. By offering no-cost tuition, we ensure that our fellowship is accessible to all who wish to champion a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Over a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage in organic food system education that includes growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health care educational sessions, and supporting community gardens. Our program also fosters food and ecological literacy in schools and strengthens local farmer markets and consumer connections, increasing access to healthy food for everyone. Following their fellowship experience, participants embark on a Community Action Year, applying their newfound skills in collaboration with regional non-profits. We invite those interested to apply by March each year for an enriching experience that runs from May to October, making a lasting impact on the food landscape of our communities.
