About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Carrington, ND, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators committed to building a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically equitable. We offer a transformative six-month residential experience at the Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows gain hands-on training in organic food system education. During their time, they engage in meaningful community initiatives such as growing and distributing a variety of crops, maintaining school and community gardens, and leading innovative educational sessions on health and ecological literacy. After the fellowship, participants embark on a year of community action, collaborating with local non-profits to enhance food access and support local farmers markets. We believe in making this opportunity accessible to all, which is why we do not charge tuition for our Fellowship program. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
