At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Cavalier, ND, we are dedicated to nurturing a just and sustainable food system by empowering our Fellows through comprehensive training and hands-on experience. Our program, which is designed to be accessible without tuition fees, equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to become advocates and educators in organic food production, community gardening, and food literacy. During their six-month residency at our farm, Fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health-focused educational programs, and supporting local farmers markets. Following this immersive experience, they embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their learning and effect positive change.
