The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Crosby, ND, is dedicated to nurturing advocates and educators committed to creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers a unique, hands-on learning experience at the Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows engage in organic food system education over a six-month immersive period, followed by a Community Action Year. During their Fellowship, participants cultivate diversified crops on market-style farms, implement innovative educational sessions in health care, maintain community and school gardens, and promote food literacy within educational settings. We support farmers markets, develop better distribution channels for healthy foods, and actively participate in community food coalitions. With a commitment to accessibility, we do not charge tuition for our program, ensuring that passionate individuals can train and implement transformative food assistance strategies without financial barriers.
