The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Dickinson, ND, is dedicated to nurturing passionate individuals who aspire to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This unique program offers a comprehensive six-month experiential learning opportunity at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where Fellows receive organic food system education, engage in meaningful community outreach, and gain hands-on experience in supporting local food initiatives. Without any tuition fees, we strive to make this Fellowship accessible to a diverse range of participants. Throughout their journey, Fellows have the chance to collaborate with regional non-profit organizations on projects like growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. They also play a vital role in promoting farmers markets and creating pathways for improved access to healthy foods. Applications are accepted until March, with the program typically running from May to October, allowing selected Fellows to transform their knowledge into impactful community action.
