The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Dunseith, ND, is dedicated to cultivating a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. This empowering program sponsors and trains passionate individuals to become advocates and educators in organic food systems. Our Fellows gain hands-on experience through a six-month immersive, residential study at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in partnership with local non-profit organizations. Participants engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops on a market-style farm, maintaining school and community gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy. Through this fellowship, we strive to enhance access to healthy foods and support community food initiatives, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a sustainable food environment. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
