The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Fargo, ND, offers a transformative opportunity for individuals passionate about creating a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship empowers participants through comprehensive organic food system education while ensuring accessibility by not charging tuition. Throughout the six-month residential program at Allegheny Farm, Fellows engage in hands-on learning experiences, including the cultivation and distribution of diverse crops, conducting innovative health care educational sessions, and supporting community initiatives like farmers markets and school gardens. Following this immersive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to implement meaningful projects that promote food access and ecological literacy.
