Based in Grand Forks AFB, ND, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing future leaders who champion a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Through immersive, hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm, this unique program empowers selected Fellows to be effective teachers and advocates for sustainable practices. Participants engage in organic food system education, collaborating with local partners to grow and market diverse crops, implement health education initiatives, and maintain community gardens. Our mission also includes promoting food literacy, supporting farmers markets, and developing distribution channels that enhance access to healthy foods. The Fellowship experience spans six months of intense residential learning followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows apply their skills alongside regional non-profits. Applications are open until March of each year, with experiences running from May to October.
