The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Hebron, ND, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a food system that embodies social, environmental, and economic justice. Through an immersive six-month program at AMI's Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows engage in hands-on organic food system education, gaining invaluable experience in sustainable practices, community-supported agriculture, and food literacy. This Fellowship emphasizes accessibility by waiving tuition fees, ensuring that passionate individuals can participate regardless of financial barriers. Throughout their journey, Fellows will collaborate with local partners to create community gardens, promote healthy food access, run educational programs, and support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. Following their residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, where they apply their training with regional non-profits, further amplifying their impact. Applications for this transformative experience are welcome until March each year, with programs running from May through October.
