The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hettinger, ND, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of food system advocates through comprehensive training and hands-on experience. This transformative program equips Fellows with vital skills in organic food systems, empowering them to champion sustainable practices that promote social, environmental, and economic justice. Participants will engage in a six-month immersive residency at our farm, gaining knowledge and experience in crop diversity, community gardening, and health-oriented education initiatives. Following the residency, Fellows will embark on a Community Action Year, translating their learning into meaningful projects with regional non-profits to improve food access and promote healthy eating. Our commitment to accessibility is reflected in our no-tuition policy, ensuring that all individuals can participate and contribute to a more equitable food landscape. Applications are welcomed until March of the application year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
