At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hillsboro, ND, we are dedicated to training and empowering individuals who are passionate about creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in six months of hands-on, experiential learning at Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year where they work alongside local non-profits to apply their education. We emphasize the importance of accessibility by charging no tuition, ensuring that support and organic food system education are open to all. Our community-focused initiatives include growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining school and community gardens, implementing health education sessions, and fostering food literacy through collaborative programs. Together, we are transforming our food systems to promote healthy, sustainable communities.
