The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kindred, ND, is dedicated to fostering a fair and sustainable food system by equipping future leaders with essential skills and knowledge. Through this immersive program, fellows engage in hands-on training and community projects that emphasize social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems. Our fellowship facilitates organic food system education, empowering participants to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health care sessions, maintain gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. We strive to enhance access to healthy foods through direct-to-consumer initiatives and support for farmers markets. Selected fellows participate in a comprehensive six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their training with regional non-profits. We proudly offer this opportunity tuition-free to ensure accessibility for all passionate individuals who wish to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Applications are accepted until March, with the program running from May to October, allowing fellows to immerse themselves in transformative experiences.
