The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Larimore, ND, is dedicated to creating a fair and sustainable food system through hands-on education and community engagement. Our program sponsors and empowers Fellows to teach and advocate for social, environmental, and economic justice within agriculture. By offering the Farm and Food Study at no cost, we enhance accessibility and inclusivity for passionate individuals. Over six months, selected Fellows gain practical experience at our farm, focusing on organic food systems while collaborating with local partners. They engage in a variety of initiatives, including growing diversified crops, leading health-focused educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food literacy into school programs. This fellowship culminates in a Community Action Year, where participants apply their training with regional non-profits to foster greater access to healthy food and support initiatives like farmers markets and food coalitions. Applications for this transformative experience should be submitted by March for the following program year.
