The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Mandan, ND, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders who advocate for food systems that prioritize social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program offers Fellows a complimentary education in organic food systems, allowing them to engage in practical, hands-on training without the burden of tuition. Over a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants will cultivate diversified crops, design community gardens, implement health care educational sessions, and enhance food literacy in schools. As they transition into their Community Action Year, these committed individuals collaborate with regional non-profit organizations, fostering innovative solutions to increase access to healthy foods, supporting local farmers markets, and energizing community food coalitions. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the active fellowship experience running from May to October.
