At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mapleton, ND, we are dedicated to fostering a sustainable and equitable food system through education and community engagement. Our program empowers Fellows to become passionate advocates and informed educators, providing them with comprehensive training in organic farming practices and food justice. Over a six-month immersive experience, participants engage in hands-on learning and cultivate their skills at our Allegheny Farm Campus. Following their fellowship, they enter a Community Action Year to implement impactful initiatives in partnership with regional non-profit organizations. Our commitment to accessibility means we do not charge tuition, allowing diverse individuals to learn how to grow and distribute healthy foods, develop community gardens, and support local farmers' markets.
