The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Milnor, ND, empowers individuals to become advocates and educators for a just and sustainable food system. This fellowship provides a comprehensive, hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm, where selected fellows engage in organic food system education without the burden of tuition, promoting accessibility for all. Throughout the six-month immersive program, fellows learn how to cultivate and distribute a variety of crops, create educational health initiatives, and maintain community gardens. They also focus on integrating food and ecological literacy into educational programs and supporting local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer channels. After completing their fellowship, participants will embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to implement their training and make a tangible impact in their communities. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience typically running from May to October each year.
