The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mohall, ND, is dedicated to empowering individuals who are passionate about creating a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our program offers a transformative six-month experiential learning opportunity at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, where Fellows receive hands-on training in organic food systems and community engagement. We emphasize accessibility by not charging tuition, ensuring that aspiring advocates can thrive without financial barriers. Throughout the Fellowship, members engage in a variety of vital initiatives, including growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, maintaining gardens, and managing local farmers markets. After their initial training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to make a tangible difference in food access and literacy. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the experience typically running from May to October.
