The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mott, ND, is dedicated to nurturing leaders who advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic fairness. Our unique, tuition-free program empowers Fellows through hands-on, organic food system education at the Allegheny Farm. During their six-month immersive experience, participants engage in growing and distributing diverse crops while implementing innovative health education initiatives and developing community gardens. They will also learn to integrate food and ecological literacy into school activities and support local farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer programs. After this initial fellowship, the Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their training and effect positive change. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
