The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Napoleon, ND is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our comprehensive program offers an immersive six-month experience at the Allegheny Farm, equipping Fellows with hands-on learning in organic food systems. Participants engage in community initiatives such as growing and distributing diversified crops, implementing innovative healthcare educational sessions, and supporting school gardens and farmers markets. The Fellowship also emphasizes the importance of food literacy, providing tools to enhance access to healthy food within the community. Following their training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge in collaboration with local nonprofit organizations. This empowering initiative ensures that the path to a just and sustainable food system remains accessible, free from tuition costs, underscoring our commitment to community well-being. Applications are accepted until March for the program that runs from May to October.
