About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in New England, ND, is dedicated to empowering future leaders in food justice by providing comprehensive training in organic agriculture and sustainable food systems. Through an inclusive, tuition-free program, we cultivate advocates who will teach and promote a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our Fellows engage in hands-on learning at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they explore diversified crop production, implement educational initiatives in health care, and maintain community and school gardens. Additionally, they play a vital role in supporting farmers' markets and enhancing access to healthy foods through innovative distribution channels. This transformative experience spans six months, followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows partner with local non-profits to apply their skills in real-world settings. Interested candidates should submit their applications by March to be part of this impactful journey, which typically runs from May to October each year.
