The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Northwood, ND, empowers individuals to become champions of a just food system that prioritizes social equity, environmental sustainability, and economic viability. Through hands-on education and support, our Fellows engage in transformative learning experiences at Allegheny Farm, where they gain practical skills in organic agriculture, community gardening, and food literacy. This fellowship is completely tuition-free, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring advocates. Over a six-month immersive program, Fellows work collaboratively on diverse projects—from growing and distributing healthy crops to implementing innovative health education initiatives and supporting local farmers markets. They then transition into a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge and skills alongside regional nonprofit organizations.
