Located in Richardton, ND, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to be advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through an engaging six-month experiential program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows gain hands-on education in organic food systems without the burden of tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. Participants collaborate with community partners to cultivate diversified crops, facilitate educational sessions in innovative healthcare, manage community gardens, and enhance food literacy in local schools. The Fellowship also encourages involvement in farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives to expand access to healthy foods. Following their immersive training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, applying their skills alongside regional non-profits to foster sustainable food practices. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
