The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Surrey, ND, is dedicated to empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our comprehensive program, we offer organic food system education without tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring Fellows. Participants engage in hands-on learning over a six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm campus, where they acquire essential skills in growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health education, and supporting local food initiatives. Our Fellows also contribute to community gardens, farmers markets, and educational sessions, fostering food and ecological literacy while building partnerships with regional non-profits. Each Fellow embarks on a Community Action Year post-residency, applying their knowledge and making a tangible impact in their local communities. Applications are open until March for the upcoming cohort; experiences typically run from May to October, nurturing a new generation of leaders in the food movement.
