About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Underwood, ND, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This transformative program empowers Fellows with comprehensive training in organic food system education and hands-on experience at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus. We believe in accessibility, which is why we do not charge tuition for our Fellowship. Our engaged community of Fellows collaborates on initiatives that promote food assistance, foster community gardens, support local farmers markets, and teach food literacy in schools. Over six months, participants immerse themselves in experiential learning, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in partnership with regional non-profits. Applications are open until March for the following year's cohort, with the Fellowship experiencing running from May to October, allowing for a profound impact on food equity and access within the community.
