The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Williston, ND is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators who are committed to creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative six-month program offers intensive, hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows learn about organic food system education, crop diversification, and the vital importance of community engagement. Fellows not only grow and distribute crops but also participate in implementing educational health initiatives, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy within schools. Through collaboration with local non-profits during their Community Action Year, they work to improve access to healthy foods, support farmers markets, and mentor fellow aspiring change-makers. We believe that education should be accessible to all, which is why we do not charge tuition for this Fellowship. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experience running from May to October.
