The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Wilton, ND, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. By sponsoring and training passionate individuals, the fellowship empowers them to become advocates for an equitable, environmentally sound, and economically viable food system. The program includes comprehensive organic food system education and hands-on experiences on a market-style farm, where Fellows engage in activities like growing diversified crops, leading health-focused educational sessions, and maintaining community gardens. Additionally, they promote food and ecological literacy, support farmers markets, and work to create better access to healthy foods. Each Fellow embarks on a transformative six-month residential experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to apply their training effectively. We believe in making this opportunity accessible with no tuition fees, and we invite prospective Fellows to apply by March each year, with experiences running from May to October.
