About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ainsworth, NE, is dedicated to cultivating a sustainable and equitable food system through hands-on education and community engagement. Our program empowers Fellows to become knowledgeable advocates, focusing on social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. Participants receive comprehensive training in organic food systems, allowing them to work alongside local partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health care initiatives, maintain community and school gardens, and teach ecological literacy. Our Fellowship includes a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a year of meaningful community action with regional non-profits. By promoting access to healthy food and supporting local farmers markets, we aim to create a thriving food landscape that benefits everyone.
