The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Albion, NE, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become passionate advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic integrity. Our fellowship offers comprehensive, tuition-free organic food system education aimed at fostering accessibility and diversity within the field. By engaging in hands-on learning at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected fellows will immerse themselves in sustainable practices, from growing and distributing diversified crops to mentoring future cohorts. Our community-driven initiatives involve implementing nutrition-focused educational sessions, maintaining local gardens, and supporting farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs. The fellowship spans six months of experiential learning, followed by a Community Action Year, where fellows will apply their training in collaboration with regional non-profits, enhancing food literacy and access throughout the Albion community. Applications are accepted until March, with the program running from May to October.
