The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bennington, NE, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food education and advocacy. Through a rigorous, hands-on program, we empower Fellows to champion a food system that is equitable, healthy, and environmentally responsible. Our Fellowship offers a tuition-free opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in organic food system education while collaborating with local partners. Fellows engage in growing and distributing diverse crops, developing innovative health care educational sessions, maintaining community and school gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational initiatives. Over a transformative six-month experience at our farm campus, followed by a year of community action, Fellows apply their training in partnership with regional non-profits, directly addressing food access and sustainability in our neighborhoods. Applications are accepted until March for a program cycle running from May to October each year.
