About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Blair, NE, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates for an equitable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program empowers selected Fellows through comprehensive organic food system education, offering a hands-on, immersive experience on the Allegheny Farm Campus in Virginia. By eliminating tuition costs, we ensure accessibility for all participants. Throughout the six-month residency, Fellows engage in diverse initiatives such as growing and distributing crops on a market-style farm, fostering food literacy in schools, and supporting farmers markets and community gardening efforts. Following their fellowship, each participant embarks on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to implement their knowledge and expand access to healthy foods. Apply by March to join us for this impactful journey from May to October.
