About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bridgeport, NE, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and teachers committed to creating a food system that is equitable for all. This program provides hands-on education in organic farming practices, empowering Fellows to address pressing issues related to food access and sustainability. Over the course of six months, participants engage in a rich experiential learning environment at our campus, which includes growing and distributing diverse crops, facilitating educational health initiatives, and supporting community gardens. Graduates also play a vital role in regional efforts to promote food literacy, enhance farmers markets, and develop accessible pathways to healthy food options. By fostering connections with local non-profits, our Fellows contribute to impactful community projects that support the network of food systems in Nebraska. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March each year, with the Fellowship beginning in May and concluding in October, ensuring an inclusive experience without tuition fees.
