The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Broken Bow, NE, is dedicated to empowering individuals to become passionate advocates for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our immersive program, selected Fellows engage in a six-month residential experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they receive hands-on education in organic farming and food systems. This fellowship encourages collaboration and innovation, enabling participants to work with local partners to cultivate diversified crops, maintain community gardens, and implement educational initiatives that promote food and ecological literacy. We believe in making this transformative experience accessible, so we do not charge tuition. Following their fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills alongside regional non-profits, contributing to various initiatives such as supporting farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy foods. We invite dedicated individuals to join us in fostering a more equitable food landscape, with applications open until March each year for the program running from May to October.
