Nebraska WIC, located in Grand Island, NE, is dedicated to supporting the health and nutrition of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program focuses on fostering healthy food habits through nutrition education and access to supplemental foods. We also provide essential breastfeeding promotion and support along with referrals to healthcare services to ensure comprehensive care. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to helping families access nutritious foods, adapting our services to eliminate the need for in-person visits. Even temporary changes in income may still allow many families to qualify for our vital food assistance program.
