The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Hickman, NE, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders who are passionate about creating a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and environmentally sound. By offering comprehensive training and support, our fellowship empowers participants to become effective advocates and educators in community food systems. The program is completely tuition-free, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds can access this transformative experience. Selected Fellows engage in six months of hands-on, experiential learning at our farm campus, where they gain vital skills in organic food practices, ecological literacy, and community food advocacy. Following this immersive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, where they partner with local non-profits to implement community-focused food initiatives, from enhancing school gardens to developing distribution channels for healthy food access. Our mission is to cultivate a network of empowered individuals who can drive meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
