About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Holdrege, NE, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders who advocate for a food system that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This immersive program empowers selected Fellows through hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm, where they engage in sustainable practices like growing diversified crops and enhancing access to healthy food. Without tuition fees, we ensure our Fellowship is accessible, encouraging participants to implement innovative community-based initiatives, such as educational health sessions, school gardens, and support for local farmers markets. Over six months of experiential learning, followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows gain invaluable skills that they apply alongside regional non-profit organizations. We invite prospective Fellows to submit their applications by March to join this transformative journey from May through October.
