The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in McCook, NE, is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through education and advocacy. Our program empowers Fellows by providing hands-on training and mentorship, ensuring they become effective leaders in promoting social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. By offering organic food system education, we enable participants to engage in practical initiatives, such as growing diversified crops, establishing community gardens, and integrating food literacy into educational settings. Additionally, our Fellows support farmers markets, enhance access to nutritious foods, and collaborate with local non-profits to drive impactful community change. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility, allowing more individuals to deepen their knowledge and take actionable steps toward transforming their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experience running from May to October, providing Fellows with a comprehensive six-month residency followed by a Community Action Year.
