About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Minatare, NE, is dedicated to cultivating leaders passionate about creating a food system that prioritizes social equity, environmental sustainability, and economic viability. Our empowering program sponsors and trains Fellows to become advocates and educators, ensuring that the principles of organic food systems are accessible to all, with no tuition fees involved. Through hands-on experience at our farm, participants engage in diverse agricultural practices, spearheading initiatives like community gardening, farmers markets, and health-focused educational sessions. Fellows will also collaborate with local non-profits to enhance food access and promote ecological literacy in schools. This immersive experience spans six months, followed by a hands-on Community Action Year where our Fellows actively implement their training. Applications are due by March, with the program running from May to October, inviting aspiring advocates to join us in transforming the food landscape.
