The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Minden, NE, is dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to advocate for a just and sustainable food system. Through our hands-on program, selected Fellows engage in six months of immersive learning at the Allegheny Farm, focusing on organic food system education while promoting practices that are socially, environmentally, and economically responsible. Our Fellows actively participate in diverse initiatives such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health education programs, managing community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. With no tuition fees, we strive to make this transformative experience accessible to all. Following their fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in collaboration with local non-profits, furthering their impact on community food systems. We invite interested candidates to apply by March for our season starting in May, as we work together toward healthier, more resilient communities through food assistance and education.
