About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Neligh, NE, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training and support, we empower Fellows to become knowledgeable teachers and champions of social, environmental, and economic justice in food practices. Our program offers hands-on education in organic food systems, encourages collaboration with local partners on innovative solutions like market-style farming, food distribution, and educational initiatives targeting health and ecological literacy. Participants have the opportunity to engage in community gardens, support local farmers' markets, and develop essential channels for accessing healthy foods. Over a six-month immersive experience at our campus, followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows apply their training in partnership with regional nonprofits, ensuring the impact of our mission resonates beyond the fellowship itself. We believe in accessibility and do not charge tuition to allow all passionate individuals to join us in transforming food systems.
