The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Norfolk, NE is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers selected Fellows through comprehensive training that blends hands-on experience with community engagement in areas such as organic agriculture, food equity, and ecological literacy. Participants immerse themselves in six months of experiential learning at AMI’s Allegheny Farm, where they cultivate diversified crops, maintain community gardens, and implement innovative educational initiatives focused on food health and access. After their residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to enhance food assistance efforts, support farmers markets, and promote healthy eating within their communities. We prioritize accessibility by not charging tuition, ensuring that dedicated individuals can pursue their passion for sustainable agriculture and food justice without financial barriers.
