About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in North Bend, NE, empowers aspiring leaders to become advocates for a sustainable, just food system through hands-on, experiential education. This distinguished program provides Fellows with comprehensive training in organic food systems, focusing on social, environmental, and economic justice. By eliminating tuition costs, we ensure that our Fellowship is accessible to all who are passionate about food security and community health. Throughout a six-month immersive residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage in growing and distributing diverse crops, educating communities about food literacy, maintaining gardens, and supporting local farmers markets. Following this rich learning experience, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to implement what they've learned and further promote equitable access to healthy food within their communities. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by March to begin their transformative journey from May to October each year.
