The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ogallala, NE, empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This transformative program offers comprehensive organic food system education without any tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring Fellows. Participants engage in hands-on experiences at our farm, focusing on diverse initiatives such as growing and distributing crops on market-style farms, implementing educational health programs, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food literacy into school curriculums. Our Fellows also collaborate with local non-profit organizations to support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer access to healthy foods, while fostering community food coalitions. The Fellowship includes a six-month immersive educational experience followed by a year of community action, making a meaningful impact in the region. Interested candidates can apply by March each year for the fellowship that runs from May to October.
