About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Schuyler, NE, is dedicated to fostering a new generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Our program sponsors and trains passionate Fellows to become advocates and educators who champion fair, environmentally responsible, and economically viable food systems. Through an immersive six-month experiential learning opportunity at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected participants engage in hands-on education focused on organic food systems, allowing them to actively grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain community gardens, and integrate food literacy into educational settings. Following this training, the Community Action Year enables Fellows to partner with local non-profits to apply their knowledge, mentor others, and enhance access to healthy foods across the region. We believe that by investing in our Fellows and empowering them with the skills they need, we can make a meaningful impact on food systems and community health, free from tuition barriers to ensure accessibility for all aspiring leaders.
