About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Located in South Sioux City, NE, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to equipping passionate individuals with the tools they need to advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Through our comprehensive training program, we empower Fellows to engage in meaningful activities such as growing and distributing a variety of organic crops, running educational sessions in innovative healthcare, and creating community and school gardens. Our fellows work towards increasing access to healthy foods, supporting local farmers markets, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational initiatives. This fellowship is designed to be accessible, with no tuition fees, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in an experiential, six-month residential program at our Allegheny Farm Campus. Following this enriching experience, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profit organizations to apply their skills and knowledge. Applications are open until March, with the fellowship running from May to October each year.
