The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Springfield, NE, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a sustainable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers participants the unique opportunity to engage in hands-on learning at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they will gain essential skills in organic agriculture, community food systems, and ecological literacy. Throughout a six-month immersive experience, Fellows will work on diverse projects that include growing and distributing crops, implementing innovative health care education, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local farmers markets. After their fellowship, participants transition into a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to put their training into practice. We believe in making this transformative experience accessible to all, which is why we do not charge tuition for our fellowship. Applications are open until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
