The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Wahoo, NE is dedicated to empowering individuals to become champions of a food system that is just and sustainable. Through immersive training and education, our Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to learn about organic food systems while fostering community impact. Participants engage in hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they cultivate diversified crops, implement innovative health education, maintain community gardens, and enhance food literacy in schools. By supporting farmers markets and improving distribution channels for healthy food access, our Fellows play a pivotal role in building a resilient regional food network. This six-month immersive program, followed by a year of action in partnership with local non-profits, ensures that participants leave equipped with the skills to advocate for equitable food solutions in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experience running from May through October.
