At Nebraska WIC in Wakefield, we are dedicated to empowering low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, alongside their infants and children up to five years old, to establish healthy eating habits. Our program offers vital services such as nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, and breastfeeding support, as well as essential referrals for health care. We understand the challenges families face, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we continue to provide food assistance without the need for in-person visits, ensuring that even those experiencing temporary income changes can benefit from our services.
