The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Wood River, NE, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators for just and sustainable food systems. Offering a comprehensive program without tuition fees, our Fellowship empowers selected individuals to gain organic food system education and hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm. During the six-month residency, Fellows work collaboratively to cultivate a diverse array of crops, lead innovative health education sessions, and maintain vibrant community gardens. They engage in vital initiatives like supporting farmers markets and developing distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge in partnership with local non-profit organizations to drive impactful change. Interested applicants should complete their applications by March for opportunities commencing in May.
